Are nasal strips safe to use every night?

Updated 5 May 2026

Short answer

Yes. Nasal strips are drug-free and contain no medication. Most users wear them nightly with no issues.

Unlike decongestant sprays, nasal strips work mechanically — there is no medication to build tolerance to or rebound from.

The hypoallergenic, latex-free adhesive is designed for nightly skin contact. A small percentage of people with very sensitive skin may need to alternate nights.

Always remove the strip with warm water rather than ripping it off dry — that is the most common source of skin redness.
