How long do nasal strips last?
A single RhinoGear nasal strip lasts up to 12 hours of continuous wear. Each strip is single-use — you can't restick it once removed.
Can you sleep with nasal strips on?
Yes. Nasal strips are designed primarily for overnight use. They are drug-free, hypoallergenic, and safe to wear every night.
Snoring
Do nasal strips help with snoring?
Nasal strips can reduce snoring that starts in the nose by widening the nasal valve. They don't help throat-level snoring (sleep apnoea).
Does mouth tape stop snoring?
Mouth tape can significantly reduce snoring caused by mouth-breathing or a slack jaw. It will not help snoring caused by throat-level airway collapse.
Safety
Are nasal strips safe to use every night?
Yes. Nasal strips are drug-free and contain no medication. Most users wear them nightly with no issues.
Can kids use nasal strips?
RhinoGear nasal strips are designed for adults (16+). For younger children, please consult a paediatrician first.
Can you suffocate from mouth tape while sleeping?
No — not with a properly designed sleep tape. RhinoGear mouth tape leaves the corners of the mouth free and peels away under light pressure.
Is mouth tape dangerous?
For healthy adults with a clear nose, no. It is unsafe for people with untreated sleep apnoea, a fully blocked nose, severe reflux, or after heavy drinking.
Can kids use mouth tape?
No. RhinoGear mouth tape is designed for adults (16+). Children should not use mouth tape without specific guidance from a paediatrician.
Can you use medical tape as mouth tape?
We don't recommend it. Medical tape is stronger, harder to remove and not shaped for safe lip use during sleep.
Anatomy
Do nasal strips help with a deviated septum?
Mildly. Strips lift the outer cartilage but can't correct internal anatomy. Useful for mild deviation; severe cases need a doctor.
What is the nasal valve?
The nasal valve is the narrowest part of your nasal airway — where soft cartilage meets the bony bridge. It causes most airflow resistance.
Health
Do nasal strips work for allergies?
Indirectly. Strips don't reduce inflammation but widen the airway your inflamed tissue breathes through. Pair well with a steroid spray.
Do nasal strips help with CPAP?
Some CPAP users find nasal strips help reduce nasal-mask leak and feel more comfortable. They are not a substitute for CPAP.
Do nasal strips help with a cold?
They can ease the feeling of nasal stuffiness during a cold, but they do not clear mucus or treat the underlying infection.
Can I use mouth tape with a cold or blocked nose?
No. Mouth tape is only safe when your nose is clear enough to breathe through comfortably all night.
Does mouth tape help sleep apnoea?
No. Mouth tape does not treat obstructive sleep apnoea. If you suspect sleep apnoea, see a doctor before using any tape.

Are nasal strips reusable?
No. Each RhinoGear nasal strip is single-use. The adhesive and spring-band tension are not reliable after the first wear.
How do you remove a nasal strip painlessly?
Wet the strip with warm water for 15–20 seconds in the shower, then peel slowly from one end to the other. Never rip it off dry.
Can I shower with nasal strips on?
Not recommended. Steam and water weaken the adhesive and reduce wear time. Apply after your shower instead.
How do you remove mouth tape in the morning?
Peel slowly from one corner. The hypoallergenic adhesive releases cleanly; a warm, damp cloth helps if needed.
Does mouth tape work if you have a beard?
Yes, with the right prep. Clean, dry skin and short stubble give the best adhesion; very long or oily beards can reduce stick.
